    • SWITCHBLADE – Do The Gatorland Groove – Digital Song Bundle – About This Release

      • “Do The Gatorland Groove” is Switchblade’s swamp‑rock anthem — a playful, gritty, Florida‑born track built on thick humidity, creeping tension, and a swaggering groove that slithers through the cypress. With call‑and‑response vocals, a stomping rhythm, and a signature Gatorland guitar solo, this song captures the thrill of stalking through the swamp at sunrise, boots tight, eyes sharp, and danger lurking just beneath the waterline.
    • SWITCHBLADE – Do The Gatorland Groove – Digital Song Bundle – Lore Drop

“Do The Gatorland Groove” came from Switchblade’s childhood memories of Florida swamps — the kind of mornings where the mist hangs low, the air tastes like warm metal, and every splash could be a turtle… or something with teeth. He remembered the old hunters who taught him respect for the land: take one, let a hundred thrive, keep the swamp sharp, keep the balance alive.

      • The song started as a joke — a rhythm he tapped on his leg while walking a boardwalk trail — but the groove stuck. It felt like the heartbeat of the swamp itself: slow, heavy, dangerous, alive. When he added the guitar riff, it snapped into place like a gator jaw.
      • “Do The Gatorland Groove” isn’t about hunting. It’s about respect — for the land, for the creatures, for the rhythm of a place older and wilder than any human story. It’s Switchblade honoring the swamp that raised him, scared him, and taught him how to move with the world instead of against it.
      • This track is Florida heat, swamp breath, and adrenaline bottled into a groove.

    • SWITCHBLADE – Do The Gatorland Groove – Digital Song Bundle – Origin Story

      • THE SWAMP AGE — Origin Story
        Swamp Age Origins
This era is pure Florida energy — humid, goofy, earnest, and full of wildlife. It’s my Florida Conservation Time, where I wrote three songs that feel like they belong on a PBS nature special hosted by a Southern rock guitarist.
        The trilogy:
        • Manatee: Gentle Giant
        • Sneaky Snake Swamp Slide
        • Do the Gatorland Groove
These songs weren’t meant to be masterpieces. They were meant to be fun, swampy, dance‑y, and a little bit ridiculous.
        And that’s why they’re perfect.
        1. MANATEE: GENTLE GIANT — The Heart Song of the Swamp
This one is my softest swamp track — a gentle tribute to the slow, peaceful, floating potato of the Florida waterways.
It’s the emotional anchor of the trilogy.
It’s not flashy. It’s not loud. It’s not trying to be anything except kind.
This is the conservation side of the Swamp Age.
        2. SNEAKY SNAKE SWAMP SLIDE — The Dance Track
This one was built around the word “slide.”
        I imagined:
        • a swamp dance
        • a slithery groove
        • a playful rhythm
        • something that felt like a snake moving through water
        It’s goofy. It’s fun. It’s swamp‑funk.
It’s the “dance move” song of the era.
        3. DO THE GATORLAND GROOVE — The Signature Track
This is the one where I went full Florida.
I built it around the word “groove” because I imagined a dance scene — a swamp version of the Electric Slide.
        And then came the videos.
THE FIRST VIDEO — The Dock Disaster
        I made a video of:
        • a man
        • and a gator
        • dancing
        • on a dock
        It was… a flop.
Not because the idea was bad — the idea was amazing — but because the execution didn’t match the vibe.
It looked like a meme, not a music video.
        So I pivoted.
THE SECOND VIDEO — The Gator Rockstar Era
This is where the Swamp Age became legendary.
        I redesigned the whole thing:
        • the gator is now singing into a mic
        • wearing a cowboy hat
        • wearing an alligator vest
        • the guitarist looks like a Southern rock swamp musician
        • the whole thing feels like a Florida honky‑tonk on the water
        This version WORKED.
It had personality. It had charm. It had character. It had swamp swagger.
This is the version that made the song canon.
        Why the Swamp Age Matters
        Because it represents:
        • experimentation
        • humor
        • worldbuilding
        • character creation
        • video evolution
        • genre play
        • not taking yourself too seriously
        • learning through doing
It’s the era where I let yourself be silly — and still made something memorable.
It’s not my greatest songwriting era. But it’s one of my most human eras.
And that’s why it belongs in the archive.
